At Ortelio, we are committed to protecting your personal information. This policy is intended to inform you of our privacy practices in association with the collection and use of your information obtained through our websites (www.noos.cloud, www.noosware.com), services, and applications.

 

This Privacy Policy applies if you are a visitor to our website or if you use our services. If you use a third party application or service that is integrated with Noos, then such third party's privacy policy will govern the use, storage and disclosure of your data in connection with such application or service.

Personal information

We do not collect any personal information from visitors of our website. However, if you subscribe, use and/or purchase our services or applications, there may be some information we collect. When we need information that personally identifies you or allows us to contact you, we will explicitly ask you for it. For example, to use the Noos API service, we may collect, store, and access one or more of the following: (1) an email address; (2) your github username; and (3) your bitbucket username.

The personal information we collect from you is used to provide the service(s) or carry out the transaction(s) you have requested or authorised. In support of these uses, we may also use personal information to provide you with more effective customer service, and to improve our products or services. We may also use your email address to contact you regarding administrative notices from time to time.

When you visit our website, we automatically collect certain other information about you. This includes the URL that you just came from, the URL you next go to, the browser you are using, your IP address, the pages you visit, and the types of services you purchase. We use google analytics for doing that.

Cloud services policy

When using Noos services, you may submit your own data and information, including, but not limited to, text, images, and audio. We also collect data on your location (from where you access our website). Noos then processes all or part of this data to provide intelligent output, but does not store any of this output in our servers, except:

  • ORB models (2D features and Images)
  • Maps (2D grid system - no geolocation)
  • Face recognition images (without any corresponding information)
 

We comply to the provisions of DIRECTIVE 95/46/EC OF THE EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT, which stipulates that anyone whose data is stored in our servers can ask at any time for this data to be deleted.

Security of your information

We are committed to protecting the security of your information. We use a variety of security technologies and procedures to help protect your information from unauthorised access, use, or disclosure. However, please be aware that due to the existing legal and technical environment, we cannot guarantee that any personal information we obtain will not be disclosed to third parties in ways not described in this policy.

We also take reasonable precautions to protect data in our possession from loss, misuse, and unauthorised access. We follow generally accepted industry standards to protect data, both during transmission, as well as once received by us. However, no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your data, we do not guarantee its security.

We do not share or disclose any of your personal information, except as described in this section.

  • We use third party vendors to perform certain business-related functions. Examples of such functions include data processing services, and payment processing. You acknowledge that such transfers may occur, and that any acquirer or successor of Noos may continue to use your personal information as set forth in this policy.
  • We may disclose personal information if required by law or if we believe in good faith that such action is necessary to: (a) comply with a legal obligation, (b) protect and defend the rights or our property, or (c) protect the property or safety of users of the Noos websites or services or any third party. If we are required by law to disclose any of your personal information, then we will use reasonable efforts to provide you with notice of that disclosure requirement, unless we are prohibited from doing so by statute, subpoena or court or administrative order. In addition, if we do not believe the disclosure request has been properly issued, then we will object to such request.

Service Providers

We may employ third party companies and individuals to facilitate our Service (“Service Providers”), to provide the Service on our behalf, to perform Service-related services or to assist us in analyzing how our Service is used.
These third parties have access to your Personal Data only to perform these tasks on our behalf and are obligated not to disclose or use it for any other purpose.

Google Analytics with anonymized IP (Google Ireland Limited)

Google Analytics is a web analysis service provided by Google Ireland Limited (“Google”). Google utilizes the Data collected to track and examine the use of this website, to prepare reports on its activities and share them with other Google services.
Google may use the Data collected to contextualize and personalize the ads of its own advertising network. This integration of Google Analytics anonymizes your IP address. It works by shortening Users' IP addresses within member states of the European Union or in other contracting states to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the complete IP address be sent to a Google server and shortened within the US.

Google Fonts is a typeface visualization service provided by Google Ireland Limited that allows this Service to incorporate content of this kind on its pages.
